A heavenly hybrid that brings together the best of both worlds, the Shio Pan Bagel has the crisp, buttery exterior of a shio pan (Japanese salt bread), and the chewy bite of a bagel. Made using the yudane method for extra moisture, each piece is fragrantly salted, soft inside, and lightly crisp outside.
With a total of 6 pieces, you will also learn to make two pretzel-like bagels with a deeper, toasty finish, as well as two spreads, including a savoury roasted garlic whipped brown butter for a rich, umami pairing, and a salted caramelized banana ganache that balances the savoury bakes with sweetness and a hint of salt.
